New Specialist Orthopaedic Care Now Available for Teenagers at Cleveland Clinic London

Specialist Orthopaedic Care Now Available for Teenagers at Cleveland Clinic London
I am pleased to be able to offer specialist orthopaedic assessment and treatment to adolescent patients aged 16 and 17 at Cleveland Clinic London.
Cleveland Clinic London has recently expanded its orthopaedic and sports medicine services to include patients in this age group. The new service provides teenagers with access to specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for sports injuries and a wide range of bone, joint and musculoskeletal conditions.
This is particularly important for young people involved in competitive sport and regular physical activity, where injuries to bones, joints, ligaments and tendons can affect both sporting participation and ongoing musculoskeletal development.
As a specialist hand and wrist surgeon, I can now see 16- and 17-year-old patients at Cleveland Clinic London with hand and wrist problems, including:
Hand and wrist fractures
Sports-related hand and wrist injuries
Ligament and tendon injuries
Joint injuries and instability
Overuse injuries
Persistent hand or wrist pain following an injury
Where required, patients can benefit from Cleveland Clinic London’s wider multidisciplinary team, including specialist imaging, physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
The introduction of the adolescent service means that parents can now arrange an appointment with me for their 16- or 17-year-old with a hand or wrist injury or condition at Cleveland Clinic London.
For young athletes, the aim is not only to diagnose and treat the injury but also to support rehabilitation and a safe return to sport and activity.
